While their season is short, figs are a tasty summer staple! They’re perfectly sweet, have a unique texture and are loaded with health benefits you probably didn’t even realize! Since summer technically isn’t over yet, we wanted to highlight figs for this week’s Superfood Spotlight!
Figs, whether they’re fresh or dried, are loaded with essential vitamins and
nutrients – nutrients such as magnesium, calcium and potassium, and vitamins such as K and B6. That’s not all! Figs contain dietary fiber that helps regulate the digestive system and help promote weight loss by keeping you feeling satisfied.
